New to me SIG 225-A1

Wow...I don't know what going on, unicorn guns raining in my lap these days. My favorite combat pistol of all time is the P22X series. I'd love to carry one. I was casually looking for a single stack which are no longer made. The 1970s/1980s P6 comes to mind. What gun it was.

Then I walk into my LGS and there it is, full set, little or unfired, 0 wear on barrel or rails, papers, box, 2 mags. I could ask this group: Should I buy....I assumed the answer would be yes, so I did. I had to cough up a little more than I would have liked: $750 out the door, but I won't sell it on for that.

A first year of the re-issue P6 type called P225-A1, made only for 4 years. Discontinued in 2019. Gray slide, black nitron frame, G10 SIG logo grips, 8+1 single stack...how cool is that. Looking for a nice Mitch Rosen or Kramer for it now to carry in style....

Congrats!

I'm a Sig fan, I picked up a P225-A1 after they discontinued the P239, now sad because they dropped the A1. Really like the P225-A1, but I like the P239 better.
Guessing a single stack, hammer fired all metal guns are no longer vogue.

Those G10 grip scales are amazing! They set up just right in the hand and contributes to making the P225 such a ***** cat to shoot.
