Hi, I'm not sure if this is the right location to post this. I see some older S&W revolvers posted for sale, and the seller says something like "has import mark" or doesn't have import mark. What is the significance of this? is one better than the other, better performing gun, etc.

Thanks

eddie,

It generally means the gun was sold in a foreign market, originally. It has no bearing on the quality of the original product.

Folks will often pay a premium for a gun that came back from over seas but didn't get defaced with an import mark.
