Welcome from Montana !

Thanx for all the welcomes!

David, thanx for your service! In ‘67-‘68, at the end of my tour of duty in sunny Vietnan I figured out “ most riky-tic” that a bunch of miscreants were trying to make sure ol’ Andy went home in a box, so I got out before the Marine Corps could send this “Mother’s Son” back there to give’m another shot!

My lifelong best friend, although ten years my senior, was an Army Signal Corps radio operator in the same time frame you were there. He lived in a tent on some wooded Platte river property for almost a year after coming home. Didn't want to be around anyone. And winter in Nebraska can be pretty unpleasant. I finally coaxed him "back into the world". I can never thank him enough, or any other Vet for their service, including you, sir!

Rifleman, Thanx! & going forward, just Andy will do. Sir was my Dad, and he’s not answering to anything for almost 20 years now.

Welcome from Pittsburgh, Andy. I didn't graduate High School 'til '75, but I went right into the steel mill. Worked with a lot of VN vets & heard a lot of horror stories, and the drugs that would've killed me if a bullet didn't. I have a lot of respect for those of you who went. Best man at my last wedding did two tours, he only got stabbed, so he did a second tour. He was a little bit picked off about the stabbing so he stayed with a vengeance! Always said,"They got my lunch, but I got dinner!" Thanks for everything.
