My father left me his collection of firearms and among them a number of S&W revolvers. All of the guns are in excellent/new condition. Are any too collectible to sell? I was wondering if anyone could help me price the following:

650 3" w/ stainless trigger/hammer
651 2"
651 4" SB w/ stainless trigger/hammer
651 4" RB
317 3"
63 4" SB w/ stainless trigger/hammer
63-3 2"

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Welcome to the Forum!

Since you said excellent/new condition, I'm going to assume you have boxes, paperwork and tools for all of them.
I'd say all of them would sell for $600-800 except the 4" Model 63. Probably $500ish on that one.
IMO, the 650 3". 317 3", and the 63 2" are most desireable.

If you don't need the money, don't sell them! You have a fine Stainless Steel herd there.

Your dad had nice tastes in J frame .22.LR and mag revolvers. Others will pitch in but ....it depends. For the most part 22 revolvers have been in pretty high demand over the past few years due to the price of ammo escalating.

For the .22 LR (the M-63 and M-317) the stainless guns are in fairly high demand at the present time. I would put a range of $450 - 500 on these.

For the .22 mag (the M-650 and M-651) there may be a limited number of people that want the J frame in magnum. However the 22 mag seems to be produced in limited quantiites and you don't see them offered on the auction sites very often. When they are the pricing seems to start at about $500 and then goes up from there.

Pricing will also depend on condition and whether the original bos, papers and tools are included (if these revovlers came with the tools).

I suggest you do a search of the auction sites, Gun Broker and GunsAmerica and look at the completed sales of these guns.
