My father left me his collection of firearms and among them a number of S&W revolvers. All of the guns are in excellent/new condition. Are any too collectible to sell? I was wondering if anyone could help me price the following:

650 3" w/ stainless trigger/hammer
651 2"
651 4" SB w/ stainless trigger/hammer
651 4" RB
317 3"
63 4" SB w/ stainless trigger/hammer
63-3 2"

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

All are collectible!

All the models you have listed are either discontinued or limited run guns with one exception, the mod 317. To enhance the value of the guns you should have the original boxes with all the papers and tools that were with the guns when shipped from the factory. As suggested, you can used Gun Broker as a basis of the value of each. Keep one thing in mind, it appears that gun values have soften a little and Gun Broker is a auction. If two people want the same gun, price goes up!

Ballpark...How much do you add for box, tools, and papers? 10%, 15%, $100?

I would say in the 10-15% range for modern guns. You may also want to consider that all these guns will continue to appreciate in value, kind of like money earning interest in the bank (but much more fun!)

You have gold sitting there, hold on to them. I would get ammo and they them out and shoot. Dad had good taste in revolvers.
