newb from GA new m&p 15-22 owner

Greetings

I just ordered an m&p15-22 from buds gun shop. It shows in the shipping stage...I am soooo stoked.

This is my first firearm but my pop had pistols and shotguns while growing up. I have shot casually and took a skeet class in college and that was the last time I fired and that was 20 years ago.

I also ordered 2 more 32 rnd mags from promag thanks to this forum.

My largest concern is making sure I keep the family safe from the firearm as well as anything else life throws at us.

My goal will be to get the wife to the range...heck I might need another one soon!

Welcome to the forum. The 15-22 is an awesome rifle. Had Chuck Norris not robbed me while i was air drying my firearms on a sail boat, it would be one of my favorites to take out and plink with. I would probably also be fond of it for use when hunting squirrel and rabbit, with the occasional rabid coon needing to be put down.
