Newbie from South Louisiana

Hello to everyone! I'm new here and stumbling my way around. I own a MP40c and a MP 9mm FS (5") PORTED. I have tried finding this subject unsuccessfully. Would like to hear thoughts, ideas or comments concerning using a 9mm Wilson barrel in my 40c? It works great and is as accurate or better than the stock barrel. Second question; does anyone know exactly what are the differences between the ported barrel MPs and the regular MPs. Would an Apex upgrade actually be an upgrade? Thanks for your help!

Welcome from Florida also! I don't know much about the Wilson barrels, but generally Wilson's stuff is considered excellent. What is your purpose for swapping barrels?

I expect that the Apex trigger kit would help you. I have a Pro Series and the Apex made a world of difference with it. If you are shooting competitively, the forward set trigger would probably be the way to go. I use mine for a house gun, so went with the Duty Carry kit and it still helped considerably.

I swapped the barrels to to allow shooting 9mm in the 40c frame. Just makes the MP a little more versatile being able to shoot two different calibers from the same frame! Thanks to all who replied. I found a thread that addresses my questions! Lots of friendly people here.
