Pistol is now being auctioned at GB. Contact me for details if interested.
New in box! Smith & Wesson 659 9mm, with six magazines, original box with wax paper, manual and registration card!
When's the last time you came across a NIB 35+ year-old Smith & Wesson semi-automatic pistol? Perhaps never... but here is one, and I'm letting it go to help fund other purchases.
This 659 is an all-steel, high capacity 9mm semi-automatic pistol, manufactured between 1985 - 1988. It has the desirable Novak adjustible rear sight, six OEM S&W 14-round magazines (two new, four used but VG condition; worth $$ on their own!), and original matching serial number box, wax paper, manual, and registration card.
This second-generation S&W pistol features a front barrel bushing to enhance accuracy, discontinued by the 3rd generation pistols due to manufacturing expense (except for the semi-custom S&W Performance Center models).

- NIB S&W 659, s/n TBM3XXX
- six OEM S&W magazines (two new, four VG condition)
- Novak adjustible rear sight
- original box in great condition (see photo for only major flaw)
- unfired condition (other than perhaps at factory), with minor handling marks (evident in the photos).
What is an unfired, NIB 35-year-old S&W 2nd-generation semi-automatic 9mm pistol worth? Good question.
The last one that sold on Gunbroker.com went for $800 (mid-May, 2022), but only had two magazines, and wasn't in as fine condition as this example! OEM magazines go for $50 - $80 each, so factoring that in, this pistol is priced $200 (or more) below market!
This would make a great collector's piece, or the perfect shooter for someone who loves bullet-proof all-steel construction and the mechanical artistry of S&W's second-generation pistols.

Buy with confidence! I have 100% positive feedback on Gunbroker, as well as eBay (gregdr01 is my username for both sites).
