Saw a nickle model 19 today in a pawn shop , it had a 6 inch barrel pinned , recessed cylinder and a target style front sight with a red insert . The serial Number started with 38 K . Never saw a serial number start that way is that unusual ?

700.00 plus tax . Has Harret grips , the extractor rod slipped in the vise but locks up tight and the nickle finish is good . I know you guys want photos posted but not as bad as I want too . New internet line today with upgraded service , new computer tomorrow . Then I will Be " posten " . What can you tell me about that serial number ?

In 1970 the factory ran past the serial number K999999 and went to 1K; 38K looks to be from early 1980 or so.
