I bought a Nickle K-22 for $98.00 at firearms unlimited in pittsburgh PA when I was 13 years old, that was abbout forty years ago. It came in a silver box with blue printing, it appeared to be factory nickle but i did not know, I wanted to start bulls eye training....The box has long been lost but I still have the pistol
.I was told at the time of purchase that this was a special run from the factory. about twn years ago I sent my info into jenks and was told. I need to find the letter, it is filed away. But he replied that my K-22 was manufactured in 1952 and was a batch of 25 that left the factory blue to a company in nyc. I found one of their catalogs on e-bay and they were a firearms company dealing in all mfg of guns. The must have had my K-22 plated. I will check in tomorrow with the name of the New York gun store that my pistol was shipped to. What I thought was special is just another Blue K-22
