I went and bought myself a Kimber pro elite at a lgs. I read that they only made 2500 of em in 1999. Well I guess they got the original night sights still on it cause they dont glow at all. My question is I need to know if anyone has a reccomendation for sight paint. (dont need it to glow) thanks, Norm

The night sights on my Beretta 92FS are dead so I just painted over them with Testor's matte black enamel paint. You can get it at hobby stores.

If you prefer colors, use a white base coat first.

Some people like to use nail polish.

You should also do a search of the forums if you haven't already, as this has been discussed many times.

An under coat of white model airplane paint followed by florescent orange fishing lure paint catches my eye but it depends on the anticipated back ground colors. For traditional black bullseye targets all flat black sights are still the best. At old fashioned target shooting distances focusing on the sights blurs the black bull so that the black sights are easy to distinguish from the bull. Then there's the old geezer who likes to run very short range matches for the snub noses and small autos local people actually carry. He covers all the targets with whatever color old shirts he can find for free. The best color sights depends on this week's pile of shirts. However, on the whole all black sights seem to work best. Now if you want to catch a buck at the earliest time you can see in the woods you're back to florescent orange.
