I am still attempting to get some feedback from those who have tried the NILL Grips. NOT the Pure target grips but more the Sporter ones with or without the thumbrest.

For my 1973 vintage Mod 41 ( 5.5" Heavy). Currently has the Stock checkered grips which are in perfect condition.

I am looking at the NILL grips - SW11J ( Ambidextrious - no Thumbrest) and the SW11G ( Right hand Thumbrest). Any input or user review on either of these. I am leaning toward the Thumbrest ones BUT hopefully will get a chance to hold each before buying.

Also; I see that these now are the SW11J8 or SW11G8 grips with what is called Rhomlas checkering instead of the stippling. I rather liked the older stippled ones and they look better to me in the photos ( The checkering pattern looks small on the Rhomlas ones - especially the LH grip on the ones with the thumbrest. For those who have actually used them do you prefer Stippled or Checkered - This may be a moot point as the no longer appear to be available with stippling

I am NOT interested in Herrett's, Hogue's or Altomont's I am looking at NILL only - The only other replacement I'd consider would be a set of the S&W Stock Smooth grips of the same vintage as the pistol (early 70's)

Thanks

Original grips do come up For Sale in our sales section. Myself I do prefer them over all the others due to the thickness of them and the handfeel of them as well. Check your private e-mail for a message from me.

I apologize that this post doesn't contribute much, but I do want to comment on my liking for Nill stocks. I have them on two different semi's and they are great in both fit and finish. ! I have them on a Walther P4 and an HK P7.

I have the right hand thumbrest and like them. My hands are probably medium size and the grips are plenty big, but not too much. If I had small hands they would be too big. I did not like the ambidextrous factory because of the odd feeling of the right grip.

I know I'm late to the party but I just joined today. I have Nill right hand grips with the thumb rest on my Model 41. I have large hands and these grips works exceedingly well for me. So much so that I bought a pair to put on my Python (figured I wouldn't use the "C" word and risk having tomatoes thrown at me). And the palm swell fits my hand perfectly.

Thank You all

I have a set of the ambidextrous ones on order. I'll post photos of them on my 41 later after I receive them and get them on.

I ended up with the ambi's over the thumbrest because they just looked a little cleaner to me as the way the thumbrest is sculptured just looks a little bulkier and possibly prone to damage from bumps. My 41 is more of a fun gun for me than just bullseye shooting.

These are what I received - Will post photos when I get them on
