Well My Brother ownes a SW40VE and I loved it, my uncel has a SW9VE and i liked it as well so when i found a Used one for $150 I jumped on it.

It had a few issues which I figured would be no big deal...

#1 rear sight missing. (found online for cheap so not worried)

#2 clips are very hard to put in, compaired to other 9mm I and the 40ve, noticed a slight bulge near the bottom of the feed, which looks to be squeeding the mags, so i figured nothing a little file wouldn't fix. But someone said there is a spring in there that might be out of place??????????

#3, and the biggest problem!!!
Took it to the range and shot 1 round, fed and ejected fine, next round NO Fire, and it feels like the triger is not moving (almost like the trigger isn't connected to anything, it just moves freely and nothing happens (no pressure on the trigger), you keep fiddeling with it and BAM fires the round. Next round same issue, so i remove clip, clear the weapon, reload and first 1 or 2 rounds are fine, after that same issues. Someone said it felt like the striker wasn't working correctly?

i started off with el Cheepo... TUL Ammo 115 Grain, When i had the issue in it I decided to try the Remington Nickel Plated Rounds the gun came with... Shot 1 and same issue. Then Put in a few Winchester 124Gr Rounds, SAME result, so Its for sure not an Ammo issue. (went with a group and they shot the same ammo with no issues in their guns.)

#4 after the issue i decided to try cleaning it a little better and maybe checking if I could notice anything wrong with it, as soon as i opened it up the Recoil spring flew out, The plastic cap had cracked.....Could this have been my issue? It was fine before the range, as I had cleaned and inspected it before I went.

Any help would be Great, The gun will shoot (as long as I clear every other round, so shoot, clear, shoot, clear, shoot, clear....its has NO issues that way, so mechanicly she seems fine, just seems like something is not working as it should......, so i'm hopeing it just some small adjustments to get it running correctly.

Adjustments? There basically aren't any on a Sigma.
You have a Bubba special mess that has been "improved" into junk.
Send it to S&W.

There's a reason that pistol was $150. Do not fire it again until you get it fixed, as it is obviously unsafe.

SO UMMMMMMM i was under the impression that the Warrenty only covered the orignal owner of the gun? I'm not the orignal owner as i got it used... SW with still warrenty it? If they aren't and its not a quick fix i'll just return it or Pawn it, I'm not gonna dump a **** load of money into a gun I gan get for $250 new with warrenty..... Thats what I get for trying to save $100

S&W might honor the warranty even though you are not the original owner, more than a few people have reported experiences like that here. But they are under no obligation to do so. Getting rid of it is your easiest solution, but of course that leaves an unsafe gun floating around out there. If it weren't for someone being out some money, ideal solution IMO would be to smash that sigma with a hammer and get one more piece of junk off the street.

Sounds like maybe the problem w/ the recoil spring MAY be causing the gun not to go back into battery. You could try replacing the recoil spring assembly, but w/ the other issues it may not be worth it.I would sell it,but I would make sure to tell the buyer of the problems first though. You wouldn't want to screw somebody or possibly cause them injury.Really,I would probably just sell the individual parts.

Sold it at a $45 loss. but the buyer already owns one of the same, I explained all issues so hopefully he can trouble shoot one with parts from the other and get it sorted out. Which was prity much giving the gun away, each clip is $30 online, plus ammo I included, Blackhawk ITWB holster is another $30 un opened pack of targets that $100 just in parts, cleaning kit, orignal SW case, so even if he can't fix it the parts for his other sw9ve were worth it for him. Barrel, slide, etc. I think he made out well, and I'm happy...lost $45 but its better than hurting myself with a gun thats not working correctly.

I have decided...after going back and forth with a few guns to get a bersa/firestorm .22. Its like $280 New with warrenty and has great reviews, cheap ammo. and I like the feel of it. Thanks for the help every has given me with this issue, I plan to contiue being a member of the SW forums as my brother has one and I'd really love to pick up a 5906 at some point.
