Was on NormaShooting.com yesterday looking for 6.5 creeedmoor and noticed that they have .38 Special and .357 in stock. The .38 Special, 158 grain FMJ was priced at $24.99 box of 50. If you purchase over $49 there is no shipping. I have seen a lot of forum members looking for .38/.357 and hard to find it. I have ordered from them and shot their .38. Good ammo. the.38 is a little hotter than US made target ammo. Also had 45 ACP and .380 in stock. Made in Europe.

My LGS had it for maybe a dollar or two more yesterday in .38. I picked up a box. Says "Hungary" on it (before, they made all their ammo in Sweden). Looks fine, haven't shot it yet.

I think they still make their high end hunting ammo in Sweden. Great you could find it locally.

Norma Ammo

I ordered several boxes of Norma 223 ammo recently. Received the shipment in just a few days. A+

It was on sale for $22.50 a box a couple of months ago when I was looking for ammo to use in my brand new 686. Shoots fine.

Last week I saw they had 357 in stock for a good price. By the time I finished my coffee and went to another room to get a credit card it was gone.

They occasionally have free shipping on $49 orders but it’s usually $149. They reduce it on holidays usually. I’ve shot a bunch of their stuff. 380 9mm 38 no complaints.

I have used Norma brass since the '70's . I bought loaded ammo then because it was easier to find than the raw brass. It has been the best , most durable brass in .38 Special and .357 Magnum that I have ever used. Have lost very few cases over the years . If the new stuff is up to their old standard it is worth the $22.00 for the cases. I messed up the other day and missed a large batch of NOS brass on one of the trade boards , almost brought a tear. Buy all you can get, you won't find anything cheaper than that right now.

There is a nice article in Guns & Ammo September 2022 magazine about Norma Ammunition.

The Norma Ammunition website has some noteworthy product information. I'm keen on the MHP option for personal defense ammo after reading the article and checking out the website.

Has anyone used the MHP ammo in a Gen3 S&W?

I’ve used MHP in 380LCP. It’s reliable and accurate. I’ve used the NXD in 9mm. Again reliable and accurate. Impressive speed 1730fps from duty size barrel
