Norma small pistol primer sale

Hmmm. I know I ain't the sharpest pencil in the box (only 4 years of college and 5 years apprenticeship), but I went to the link, for the third time, and see no primers, bullets, brass, etc. Would you be so kind as to point me to the "primers for sale"?

Apologies if it came across that way...it wasn't intended to be a slam.
Use the search button and type primers...which I just did and low and behold...they raised their price:(

Sale priced lasted for maybe a day, then escalated back to their regular price with a intermediate price during the next day. Sale price means when they have a sale we suppose.

On the dependability of fire issue, I loaded up 40 of the primers in .38 spl. I seated the primers HARD, real hard, on a Dillon 550. All went bang on the first DA stroke in two different S&W revolvers, both only minimally tuned. My take is they will dependable fire if seated really, really hard. Normal firm seated won't do with these primers.

When I can I will load up a few more HARD seated ones in 9mm to test in lightly timed striker fired auto's. Likewise will load up a few HARD seated ones in .38 spl to test in a match tuned revolver.

I bought a couple thousand and now I am worried it might not have been such a great deal. I am really interested in your feedback on them. When you say seated them hard are you talking 2x pressure? I plan to mark the boxes to seat hard, so I don't forget when it comes time to use them. I generally use a steady firm pressure when seating and run my finger over them to ensure full seating.

For Federal or Winchester primers I use what I consider steady, firm pressure on my Dillon 550 press handle. The Argentine primers require more, likely what you or I might consider 2X pressure, to get them fully bottomed out. Just seated below flush won't do. I doubt if I can put enough pressure to fully seat by using a hand primer tool.

Marking the boxes of Argentine's with a "must seat HARD" notation is a good idea.

I will buy more Argentine's when they go on sale again, in quantities to replace what I've used out of my modest domestic primer supply.
