I bought an interesting revolver today, it is a Colt 1917. The barrel has been cut to 4" and a set of S&W revolver sights have been added to it. The milling job for the adjustable rear was nicely done and the front sight looks good too. It has been nickled or chromed, I'm not sure which. It struck my fancy and I hope it is a good shooter. There is a rSs rngraved on one side, directly under the prancing Colt, and the barrel appears to have R. S. Strom very lightly engraved in the side- Any ideas on this? Don't know it Strom was a gunsmith or who had the modifications done. The serial number is 178xxx.
