This one arrived yesterday. Pre War Colt Official Police, dates to 1932 or 1933. Condition excellent.

The story on this one is it was owned by a career military officer, and spent it's life in storage in Ohio as he was went from duty station to duty station around the world.

Great find

These old Colts continue to be a collector's bargain imo .

Beautiful gun, great pics! I have one identical to yours, but with a partridge-type front sight. S/N 576XXX, puts it at 1932 also. It is THE most accurate handgun I own. The one underneath is an Army Special, made 1919. If they could talk!

MagnumStan.
Nice pair off Colts you have there, I like that Army Special. It's on my list of must have revolvers. Thanks for your compliments.

The Colt looks like new. I just found this army special 32-20, 6 inch was made in 1923 over on the Colt forum.

Muddy, I have shot the Colt 32-20 a fair amount, have had it over 10 years. I never new how old it was until now. Have a old Ideal 4 cavity 32 caliber mold with a flat nose 115 grain plain base bullet for 32-20. For pistol am loading 4.2 grains of Unique with not much recoil and shoots flat. I up the powder charge a little for a old 1898 Marlin model 1894 rifle in 32-20. Have a 25-20 Remington model 25 rifle another excellent cast bullet caliber.

Thank you too, Muddy...

I picked up the Army Special at a shop a couple years ago for $265! You can tell the difference in finish, it's a reblue, but from a LONG time ago. But, if ain't a factory Colt Royal Blue reblue, I don't know what is...it's the same as my pristine 1974 Agent. The pic does neither of them justice, I'm not as good a photog as you

Love that 32-20 also - like I said, if only they could talk...the only thing that gives their age away are those unbelievable grips!
