Well I have wanted a S&W Stealth Hunter for years!! Finally, this year I have enough tax money to get it! So I went shopping on GB to see what was out there. I ran across this:

This is a 2001 Stealth Hunter, if it had the proper coloring of that year, it would have been the "Birdsong" (NATO green with a black cylinder). The gun was on consignment and the original owner swears that it came from the factory this way.....guess I'll be calling S&W on Monday. I was on the fence about it, but decided to take a chance....once it cleaned up I was very pleasantly surprised. the barrel is polished stainless and the receiver and cylinder are a bead blasted stainless. So.......it isn't black, but I kinda like it!
Does anyone know if the S&W Performance shop would let one of these go like this in plain stainless? Or maybe a special order??

I was doing some searches and it looks like this type of revolver was used in the movie "Fast Five"....It certainly looks like it anyway.

Just got off the phone with S&W. They did offer the Stealth Hunter in all stainless in 2001. So no Bubba gunsmithing/faux coloring here!!!! Woot!
