Notes on foreign primers...

I'm wondering how many of the primer "failures" are user error?? ;)

I know that a FTF can be caused by a primer that's not fully seated. On the other hand, I've loaded a LOT of thousands of rounds using domestic primers w/o a problem. PMC's? forget it. Never used Wolf, but have generally heard positive feedback.

Wondering if there was a problem with these? I'm loading HMF primers now, which are made on the same machinery & in the same plant as PMC I'm told, & so far so good.

I'll pay the extra few bucks for the U.S. made primers. What's it work out to, a third to a half of a penny difference per round? Pffft ...

There is the bottom line and sum total. Cost-wise it doesnt add doodlie squat to the cost of ammo using "brand name" components.

Here's another one: UNIS Ginex from Bosnia index

I've used around 3500 of them so far - no failures at all. Those were mainly small pistol magnum and some small pistol primers. I don't know if there is a US distributor, but they say on their site that they export to USA.

I will buy U S primers as long as I can find them. I used some Wolfs when I couldn't find others during the "shortage".
