Per an email to Novak, they make an Adj. rear for the 3rd gen 9mms,
but the sight won't work on a 10mm.

Is that right? The fixed Novaks don't look any different 9mm vs. 10mm?

I agree Novak should know. I just don't know if the IT person responding to emails is knowledgable.

Well I agree you think they would know but the set they shipped me for my 3913 had way too tall of a front sight so I'm not sure I would except it as gospel. My 1086 also shoots so stinking low, the sights it is technically supposed to use are just not right. If u really wanted to try, I suggest trying the 9mm/40 S&W adjustable rear with the shortest front sight they offer. I think this will also require a little milling/filling to remove the lip behind the rear sight on the 10mm models which do have taller rear sights then the 9mm models.

If you want a FO front, I would suggest starting with the .245" height (Brownell's part number 662-000-030). Don't be mad at me if you still can't adjust to a good POI, but that's my best guess having had both the Novak front and rear sights and a 1086 and 1006 in hand at the same time. I think the only thing that technically doesn't fit is the rear sight do to the clearance cut in the slide which can be easily fixed. The dovetail is supposedly the same. For what its worth, the Novak "label" in the bag with my front sight lists heights of .193, .204, .217, .224, .237, .245, and .275. Which of these heights are available with wich type of sight (Plain Black, White Dot, Fiber Optic, Night Sight, or Gold Bead) is something I do not know. I can't imagine there are not enough options to make the adjustable rear work. Hope that helps.
