I recently shot the Wiley Clapp GP100 and have to say I was impressed with the quick target acquisition and potential for fast action shooting. It had Novak rear sights and a fiber optic front. I am interested though in getting a setup like that one one of my S&W revolvers. I have a Model 19-3 and a 28-2 that are both candidates, as neither is pristine.
Any thoughts on how I might go about it? Is there even enough meat in the S&W topstrap to put in a sight cut like the GP100 has? If it's too much of a hassle, I may have to suck it up and buy the Ruger.
