2nd state in a week to have Constitutional Carry signed into law. This was another NRA pushed and lobbied bill and makes the 29th state to implement.

NRA-ILA | South Carolina: Constitutional Carry Headed to Gov. McMaster's Desk for His Signature

The first link is filtered out by the forum, but the second link has it before the governor signed it. Most main stream media will not carry this news. This is a huge deal for 2nd Amendment rights in our country.

The full list of states with constitutional carry laws now includes Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, West Virginia and Wyoming.

Washington Gun Law TV on YouTube has a video out recently about how that with maybe one more state North Carolina, the Constitutional Carry thing has run its course. He calls it "permitless carry" which is a more accurate name.
The next hope would be for real concealed carry permitting in Maryland et al.

How Constitutional Carry Has About Run Its Course - YouTube

Hopefully, your future Governor Mark Robinson will accomplish that with the NRA's help. It is amazing at how the main stream media has suppressed these new laws since they are so hot to announce anything negative about the NRA or other gun right's issues. I guess they are afraid that other state's citizens might start thinking for themselves if they see factual information. There were several local SC news stations carrying this information, but only the AP and Fox had it at the national level. With the AP carrying it, all the big networks should have had it, but I have not found it. News suppression is as bad or worse than misleading news.

I do agree that there will have to be baby step laws in the blue states that are on the ladder to constitutional carry. We should all be focused on getting that done.

The problem that I have is tracking where you can carry in each of the states. I live in Pennsylvania and the only places where statute prohibits carry are jails, courthouses, and federal buildings which includes post offices.

Other states prohibit carry in bars or churches or you can carry in a bar but you can't drink. I've read that some states prohibit carry at a protest. Others you can't carry at sporting events.

The only flaw I see is the difference in criminal penalties between permit carry and constitutional carry. If you're convicted of a bad shooting, and were carrying without a permit, you receive an enhanced sentence.

It would sure be nice if Virginia could be added to that list, but I don't see that happening, not likely ever. :(

Virginia already has had what South Carolina just got... We have been able to open carry handguns for decades now without a permit.

Fighting back one state at a time...

Even though 2A should rightfully be the "law of the land", I'll take the wins as they come.

I do think in many ways, the tide is turning in America. Keep putting pressure on your politicians.

Every state also needs to adopt strong "Castle Laws" as well... Especially with the invasion we have pouring over the border. It's scary being in a border state sometimes.
