New Scope Day!

I ordered a Millett DMS that Midway had on sale. Hopefully this ends my quest for a "Do all" scope. I also ordered a Primary arms extended mount and two 45 degree mounts for my irons. Amazon.com: TufForce 45 Degree Angle Mount MT-45D3: Sports & Outdoors

What I found out when my Simmons 44Mag scope broke is that Tasco, Simmons, Bushnell, and Millet are all under the same corporate umbrella. The level of "quality" pretty much goes in that order.

So when my Simmons scope was deemed unrepairable under warranty they offered me the option of replacement with a comparably priced scope (a replacement 44Mag model was out of stock). With an upcharge they would have let me upgrade to a high end Bushnell or Millet, but I opted for a Bushnell Banner 6-24x40...although I really was tempted by those Millet long range scopes.

Great scope, fills the bill for a magnifying scope and a One power illuminated Red dot.
I have a couple, one on one of my ARs, and the other on my 15-22.
