My concern is the last time the SCOTUS helped us, we were punished much worse. To the point where I almost wish they hadn't tried to help.
I'm worried she will just come at us harder. Its like mom and dad are fighting and intentionally putting us in the middle.
Hence the repeated passing of laws that violate the constitution and SCOTUS decisions. SCOTUS knocks down a law, just pass a new version and it might take several years for it to be struck down. It's lather, rinse, repeat. The core of the problem is that the Judicial Branch, SCOTUS, has no enforcement powers. So they can tell what you/we/them can and can't do, but there is no one currently watching out for us peons, making sure we don't get screwed over. Lawmakers don't get in trouble when they violate our Civil Rights, and judges aren't accountable when they rule counter to established law.
That's the bottom line.
