Picked these up off the web this week. My second basketweave style grip but this one has some oak leaves and a couple acorns thrown in. I was hoping someone on here might have a clue as to who might have made them. They feel very nice and have a slight palm swell to them. I would be very grateful for any help with these nice grips. Thanks, Jeff

I was watching those, good to see someone from the forum got them. I saw no clues as to the maker but the work appears to be done well and they're interesting.

Thanks, and the best part was the buy it now price of $59.95 or so. They are so nice I figured I couldn't go wrong. The "in hand" detail of these grips is unreal.

I was thinking "Germanic" as well. The oak leaves were typical of carving I've seen on German hunting and target rifles, and the German craftsmen were not as committed to the use of checkering as we know it... they used various designs like fish scale-type panels and checkering. Their "palette" of design was much broader than ours. The may have been done in the US under a Germanic "influence" but I'd vote for work that was done on "the Continent."

Even without the carving, I just love the shape. The palm swells and the shape of the top look like they would be great to control the gun's recoil and let's face it, they just look good! Nice find.

WOW! Those are interesting. I don't know if I like them or not but they are sure different and I like that! I think the thing that I appreciate is the craftsmanship required to build the grips.
