I was at my lgs this morning and he had taken in a very nice 3rd. generation 9mm and it is stamped as a model 5994 and I had to look at four times to make I was reading it correctly. I have never seen that model number before and I can find no reference to a 5994 anywhere on the web. Does anyone one have information on this model?:)

Sorry! it's kinda hard to take pictures from a mans showcase to put on the internet. I am pretty sure it is a double stack, if it's still there when I return I will look at it closer.

Sounds like a 6944. The 3 1/2" barreled compacts were available in 8 shot single column mags as the 3913/3914 or 3953 and 3954 in DAO. Their slightly larger brothers used the same slides with a wider grip that holds a 12 shot double stack magazine. These were the 6906/6904 in traditional double action and the 6946/6944 in Double Action Only.
