I was given a cloth bandoleer of 8x57 ammo with a headstamp I've not seen. TOC/1944/FS/7.9. They have brass stripper clips, nickle spitzer bullets crimped into the case neck, black lacquer around the primer. 70 rounds in the bandoleer. My guess is Spanish but I'm hoping someone has a better idea.

Definitely Turkish, was imported by the boatload a few years ago. Cheap too, like 5 dollars a 70 rd bandoleer.

sounds Turkish, I got some about 10 years ago, I think I paid $60 for 900 rounds. Last time I came across some for sale a few weeks ago, the shop was asking $35 for 70 rounds. FYI, the stuff is pretty hot, it varies from 2,900fps to I have heard 3,100 fps with the 150gr fmj they are loaded with. The stuff I got is from the 1954-55 and it shaves brass when you open the bolt.

I agree with Kurac, it's Turkish and pretty hot. I have some dated 1953.
I pulled the bullets from a few rounds, took out 3grs of powder from
each and seated a 150 gr Sierra. Still ran 2850 fps.
