I was digging in the safe among my semi-collectible ammo to show my grandson the difference between .45 ACP and .45 AR. The old box I have is Remington Kleanbore, green with red, lot 7545. I had had no reason to look in the box before, and discovered a somewhat odd cartridge. The lead bullet has a small flat on the nose, and the case has two deep grooves half way down.
On further review, the box is a mix of Peters (with the odd grooves and flat), Rem-UMC, and one .45 ACP. Odd, yes, but not even semi-collectible, I guess.
