I think I've looked everywhere and read everything I can find on loading pictures. Some people say it is just like before...but that doesn't work for me. Bringing something from Photobucket has been a big zero!

Ok, now what is this about going to "control panel" and creating "albums"?

I know I'm getting older and some times "don't get it", but this one has got me stumped.

Also, maybe something just isn't working yet? I've noticed there has not been a big rush toward posting pictures since the change?

HELP!

Hey Charlie.

I'm posting a picture using an upload from my pc.

Down at the bottom of the page when I'm posting a reply is the "additional options".

There's a manage attachments button which brings up a new window.

From there you can upload from computer or URL.

I did from computer, and I believe it post a small image of the pic which get larger when someone rolls over it.

As far as from photobucket, I haven't posted from there on the new forum.

Here is what I do.

I go to photobucket, select the pic I want to put here and hover the cursor over it. On the drop fown menu I highlight and copy (Control C) the direct link address.

I then come in here, or wherever, and type in "
"

The pic above would look like this: (without the spaces)

url]

Once the spaces are closed the address becomes the pasted pic. Does this help?

Type it as one word without the spaces between the code and your address.

Nice plane, here is a bit of trivia about another F3F

The National Museum of Naval Aviation F3F-2 (BuNo 0976) was found on the bottom of the Pacific Ocean in 1800 feet of water off the coast of San Diego and is the only one recovered intact and restored and would be flyable except for the engine. It was being piloted by 1st Lt. Robert E. Galer, USMC and, while making an approach for a landing on the USS Saratoga, he experienced total engine failure and had to ditch in the water. The plane was brought up to the surface in 1990 after resting on the bottom for 50 years. It was restored by the Aerospace Museum in San Diego and completed in October 1993. Lt. Galer saw service in the Battle of Guadalcanal, became a Triple Ace, received the Medal of Honor and retired as a Brigadier General.

Thanks Bob, I'm working on it. I still can't get the picture. I was able to create thumbnails, and I deleted them.

Will work on this tomorrow. I may be hollering for more help!

In post #4, there is a space in it at the end of the address. Between the end of .jpg and the first " [ " . With that gone it should post the pic.

Charlie - If you go to this link: http://www.midwesthuntingsource.com/index.php?topic=639.0

you will see the step by step instructions I created on another forum. They should apply equally well here (with the exception of the "advanced" instructions later in the thread). Hope they help you out some!

Like this: Go to PB, copy the IMG Code from the drop down menu under your pic and paste it here. Same as I did on the old forum.

Did this work?

Wow! Easy and shows some old lawyer working (before he got smart enough to retire).
