Old 22 Ammo

I still got some small lots of 22LR from the 80s. I store those odd boxes in ammo cans indoors. I would say that heat and dampness is the enemy of stored ammo and if it has avoided that sort of neglect, it is probably good stuff. Now if it were a century old I would be suspicious. But still try it!
 
A friend of mine was helping a family friend whose husband had passed get rid of some stuff she didn’t want in the house,he gave these to me. Here is a couple pics

The sad part is the original owner apparently did not shoot in a long time.

When I check out the only thing I plan on leaving is empty brass since I am a reloader.
 
I shot a box of Winchester "Lubaloy" .22lr rounds that I inherited from Dad. They were about 75 years old, and they all fired perfectly from my H&R revolver and from my Ruger Standard semi-auto. So go ahead and shoot 'em.
