Hi There,

As mentioned, your serial number is before the 1864 cutoff point
(at serial number: 29359). So. it is possible that yours was a Civil
War veteran. Many officers and soldiers carried these even though
they were not officially bought by the Army (though some state
volunteer corps did purchase them).

The No. 2 Old Model (a.k.a. No. 2 Old Army) is very collectable.
During its manufacture, there were many design changes and
there are 9 different types recognized by the collecting fraternity.

Cheers!

To show my age, I sent, via snail mail, five entries for inclusion at least 25 years ago. Four were entered correctly while one entry became a 5", blue revolver. The revolver is 5", full silver plate and engraved. For accuracy of the database, it would be nice to have the error corrected.

Hi There,

It doesn’t seem like it. I’ve submitted information that has not been added to the database.

I don't think anyone is maintaining it at present. Someone should
pick this up. I have only two No. 2 Old Armies and SN 2506 is
in the data base (but listed as having 60% finish but currently
I would estimate it at only 10%). My other one is 20651 and
not listed.

Cheers!

Thanks for your input!
As regards the comments above on the data base I checked and it certainly doesn't seem to be updated. It has some good ino, but didn't see manufacturing dates.
Thanks again.
