Old movie - "Captain Newman MD"

Does anyone remember this movie ?

I think I saw it in a theater when it first came out; based on a book by Leo Rosten who also wrote other screen plays and the book "the education of h*y*m*a*n k*a*p*l*a*n"

Can't go wrong with Gregory Peck and Angie Dickenson but let us not forget the stellar performance by Bobby Darin. He dang near stole the show.

Also Robert Duval had a part in it and Maybe Tony Curtis too IIRC. I've been trying to find it for about 4 years.

Great movie. Never get tired of watching it. Tony Curtis was wonderful in it. I think he stole the show.

I remember seeing it showing up on TCM, but have never watched it. Angie Dickinson was fairly hot at that time. She and Shirley MacLaine were the female members of the Sinatra Rat Pack. What was that TV cop series she was in back in the mid-60's - "Police Woman"? She was pretty hot in it also.

I saw it on TCM, then looked for it for years. FINALLY got a copy. Watch it at least yearly.

I really like when the Italian prisoners sing the "American Indian" Christmas song.

True, to an extent. But she was one of the very few female "friends" of that candidate with whom he probably never had anything other than a platonic relationship.

I remember watching it when I was in my early teens. Good movie. Thought about it a few times over the years. Didn't remember the name of the movie. I'll have to find it online or whatever and watch it again. Thanks for posting.
Watching the trailer posted, I have to agree. I remember Darin's role more than the others.
