My wife's great grandfather was Chief of Police in what is now Belize City, Belize back during the British Colony days of the 1915 era.
He was a super-tall man, standing nearly seven feet tall. Yep . . . he's standing next to his full-grown horse. OUCH! I'd surely have hated to tangle with HIM back then!
And here he is on his wedding day. I've actually stood on that same front porch. Note how his VERY short wife was standing on a step to minimize the huge difference in their height! Yep, a big cop he was . . . and a real tough guy to boot, in an era where colonial British cops did not carry firearms!!!
