YEARS ago when shooting PPC and duty weapon (wheel gun days) competition someone gave me a black square on white paper target that he used to practice, adjust sights etc that was scaled to match S&W's standard front ramp and partridge sights. The size (width) of the square matched the width of the front sights.
If I remember right, the one he gave me was for 25 yards. He also gave me the square sizes for 10 and 50 yards so I could make my own. They were used to help align the sights and sight picture, equal light each side etc.
Does anyone remember these or seen them or was it just something the individual came up with. Thinking about cleaning the preservative grease off the old model 64 and 19 6" seeing what these tired eyes could do and I figured I needed all the help I could get..
