Old Western Scrounger

Have any of you bought and used ammo from Old Western Scrounger? What did you think of it? Is it reliable? Would
you trust it for self defense? I currently use Buffalo Bore's
defense ammo for the 38 S&W but it's expensive. The OWS
offers a 200 grain and a 160 grain I could shoot in my S&W
j frame that shoots the 38 S&W. Just looking for some other
possible options. Even if I don't use it for self Def. I could
do more shooting with the less expensive ammo from OWS.
Your thoughts please.

Never bought ammo from them but I did buy some rare brass and a few other items and they shipped fast and the products were as described. That was a few years back so I can't say they are still doing the same. (but they probably are)

OWS ammo is good and they usually stock some hard to get calibers.

the only time I ordered from OWS was many years ago when you could still buy the GECO 9 mm action safety ammo (BAT). I never had a problems with them
