He said it was new and unfired but this looks like it just came off the shelf in 1983! 33 years ago! It still had the manual, warranty cards, a holster advertisement and the original cleaning kit still sealed in the baggie. This Model 66 was well worth the gently used SIG M11A1 I traded for it. What do you think?

You won't know how good you did until you start shooting that bad boy! Great trade. Save the grips and put a good grip on like a Hogue and shoot the heck out of it. ..............

You know I was for the trade to begin with. Your new gun looks great!

Nice..................................

Now the tough question............................

shoot it or safe queen ????

66s are made to be used. They were the primo LE service revolver for years. I have 2 commemorative 66s in the wooden box. I replaced the target stocks with Sile finger groove rubber grips. Both guns are house guns. I clear their throats on occasion to maintain them as guns. Great find.

I think that you definitely got the better end of the deal !! Congrats

Considering I picked up a used 4" 66-2 just over a week ago I think you know what I think LOL. Definitely a good deal for you. I've never been a huge Sig fan (nor of any da/sa semi to be truthful)-they have no soul lol.

That revolver is iconic for it's era and as it's a Combat Magnum it's status will remain so for all our lifetimes at least!

Well done!

How do you guys find these deals? Congrats. Shoot it because that's what it wants you to do

Wow, that's amazing! Over 30 years old and no cylinder drag line. And I thought my 66-2 was in great shape – but then again, I bought it specifically to carry and shoot, so I have no qualms about pulling the trigger. I don't know what I'd do if I were in your shoes. Decisions, decisions!
