S&W PC 27-7 4" #170166. 8 shot moon clips, checkered top strap, ball detent lockup, NICE action. When these came out in 2000, I wanted one bad, but was out of work at the time. They only made 100, so they were gone fast. I finally hooked up with one in LN condition at a decent price locally

Anyone else have one of these or the 6 1/2" version ?

Gee thanks! I'm headed to the dentist on Monday. This one's soooo sweet, gave me cavities.

Lynn,
If you find it and decide against, let me know..Only shame is they only made 100 and I would want #126 to go with my collection....
I have the newer (27-8).357 Registered guns in both barrel lengths in #126, but they were not really checkered....laser engraved checkering....and at over $1500 (new) they should have been done correctly.

Grinder,
Congratulations.

It is a great revolver. I grabbed one of each in 2000. Love the 8 shot design. When LH did the RMs last year I picked up those as well.

Like tjpopkin, I have a thing for numbers. My set of six all bear the same number.

The 5" blue with the McGivern bead is my favorite.

Hey TJ, I have #62 like your. Since we (my pal) are dealer I got one like the old Reg Mags. See if you can tell what is different. Later John

Even fixed up a box for it

Grinder, I'm sorry. That is one nice 27, are you going to shoot it? Looks like a Queen to me. Later - John

I bought a 6-1/2 incher when they came out. Seriously cool guns. Mine is still unfired.

I'd like to trade it for an unfired 4 inch version. I'd have it Armalloyed or Metalife'ed and shoot the dickens out of it!

Congrats! Very nice revolver! A 4-inch 27-7 is also on my "short list"...

I love these 27-7 8-shot blue PC revolvers and have been searching for the 4-inch for years, congratulations! Anybody have one for sale? I have a serious case of NEED it.

I know where one of the 4 inchers in located. Here in NE Georgia. If I remember the serial # is BAM 0051 or 0052, something like that. Give me a few days to get my eyes on it. This IS one of the first runs in 2000, with the patridge fron sight on the 4 incher, right?

He still has it and the PC case for it too. I want to lay eyes on the gun though....

I realize this is premature, but let this stand as the first "I'll take it." It appears there may be two, one on Ohio and one in Georgia. Either way, please share the contact info with me if Joni-Lynn or st regis decide not to buy themselves. My e-mail is in my profile, remember to replace the word "at" with the symbol @. Please, I want one of these so badly I'll buy them both.

Grinder,

What a find! I have a 627-PC, but prefer the traditional profile and blued finish of your gun.

Got your e-mail, mokula. This one in GA is exactly like the one at the top of this thread. I have seen it before and handled it. Will keep you posted.
