One of My Rigs

Here is a picture of the rig I now have for outdoorsy pursuits. The leather is USAF surplus, the web belt is USMC surplus and the revolver is my S&W 681.

Here is a photo that a few of you may remember from this forum of just the holster, and ammo pouch.

I hope some may find it of interest.

I really like the old USAF holsters and pouches. I think the old-timers would have the pouches flipped (dump), though.

Had to laugh out loud when I saw the picture. After recently moving I just yesterday found my old GI web belt. My Dad had given me his when I was in the Boy Scouts. I used it on many hikes and camping trips as I did the Canteen. I tried to put it on and had to open it up pretty far - gained a bunch of weight since I was 12! Anyway, I did manage to adjust it to fit and realized that the maximum my particular web belt will go is to fit a 38 waist. I'm about a 37 now and loosing weight - still have about 5 or 8 pounds to go then I should be a 36 waist. I guess during WWll very few had large waists!

When concealment isn't required very practical/economical setup with a touch of US military history. Reminds me of my time in USAF when this was issued equipment, have same setup, holster/ammo pouch/belt.
