Neil Young is one of the best songwriter/lyricists of his generation. His songs are a legacy that have stood the test of time. He's also done a lot of good in his lifetime with Farm Aid and other good causes.

There are tons of good songwriters, only one second amendment. He does sound pretty at times, but so do a lot of entertainers. Good for him on the Farm Aid.

No, actually there are very few songwriters of Young's caliber.

He's all right but he sure ain't no Ray Wylie Hubbard. :D

I was the world's biggest Neil Young fan growing up in the 70's. We used to play Cinnamon Girl, Sugar Mountain, The Needle and the Damage Done, CSN&Y stuff, etc. on acoustics for hours on end. But like a bunch of the musicians of that era, they decided to become political and largely anti-2A. Now their shows have become a venue for voicing their opinion rather than playing their music. God bless 'em, but for me, they've mostly lost their luster.
