Reading the book One Second After and man is it scary. I encourage everyone to read this book. Anyone else read this book? The premise is an attack on the US via an EMP and the struggles thereafter.

It is a work of fiction but based on many true facts. It also has a foreward by Newt Gingrich.
Haven't read it, but I will. A nuclear device detonated in space or the upper atomosphere could play havoc on our communications. Imagine losing your phones, radio, TV, computers--any group with guns would dictate life. Wouldn't happen here? How about that New Orleans event?

Lifer, Wait till you read this book. It makes The Road seem tame. Lots of reasons to prepare for the worst.
