Hi Minnesotans

I'm looking into another trip to the boundary waters and would like to take a pistol (44.Mag) with me for wildlife defense. I'm getting a lot of mixed answers on my searches can anyone set me straight, Im 20 No (CPL) and would have it in plain view, in Michigan where I attend school it's not illegal to do that, help me out.

MN has open carry but only if you possess a license to carry, with which you can carry concealed or openly.

Don't really know Minnesota law, but be very careful since part of the BWCA is in Canada, not known for their handgun friendliness.
