Ditch the junk plastic plates that came with your optics-ready M&P and get a Calculated Kinetics Dog Tag. You’ll be glad you did.

I was skeptical of their claims but it does make a decent reduction in the crud on the lens.

Although I haven't had any real issues with my S&W plastic plate yet, the screws did loosen slightly after about 400 rounds (even with blue Loctite). I'm thinking that I will change out plates for either a C&H or Dog Tag.

UPDATE: I did a little research, and decided to order a C&H plate (S&W M2.0 CORE) for my 10mm. I haven't noticed any significant fogging of my Holosun 507c lens, but then again I don't put a lot of rounds downrange at one time.

I did order and install a C&H steel plate for my Holosun 507C optic on my M&P 10mm 2.0. It was a quick and easy installation, and the plate fit both the optic and pistol perfectly. I followed C&H's online installation instructions just to be sure (including some new blue Locate on the fasteners). However, I did notice that while zeroing in the optic the reticle was flashing...ooops, time for a battery change after only 4 months. I installed a new CR1632 battery and all is well. I did take the suggestion from one of our fellow Forum members to put a little blue Loctite on the tiny screw that secures the battery tray. I'll take the 10mm to the range later this week to check everything out.
