Ordered and waiting

Hello. New to the forums. Just posted in the intro thread.

I ordered my M&P 15-22 Monday. It is torture waiting for it to get here

In the mean time I have been searching the local stores to get some ammo for this thing. Read my intro thread to hear about my luck today at Bass Pro What a pain to find ammo huh? I have been officially clued in this past week while trying to find some. ha.

I can't wait to get on the range and see how it is.

To keep me busy I will just continue to read everything I can get my hands on about this weapon.

Congrats man! On the ammo, the only way I've been able to find it is here on this board with the 22 ammo thread. Have you found any?

I didn't know it either. I don't know why he chose me? He was an older guy. Really nice. I guess because I didn't pester them like some horders do. Haha.

Still waiting to visit the local range. I need enough ammo to go which as everyone knows poses a problem. I have some on the way though

As far as ammo goes, if you sit behind a computer all day and can keep an eye on the ammo thread, then every week or so you can get some bricks at decent prices. I have been getting it this way at .07 to .08 delivered. However I have found I can get case lots on gunbroker.com for around .10 to .11 delivered... and can get any flavor I like. I shoot suppressed & really like CCI Standard Velocity, so have gotten many thousands of rounds that way. I personally don't mind paying a little more for the convenience and for the ability to get the exact ammo I want, as I shoot a lot.

If you are not familiar with it, you can select to bid or to buy now. I have done both. Some buy nows have ended up the same price as bid items. For me, if I can find top tier ammo (CCI) and can buy now for .10, then I do it. Sometimes you can get lucky on bids... but not real often.

Advantage of this is you aren't buying 100 or a brick at a time... you can buy in the thousands.

I haven't looked on the ammo site for weeks and just looked and ordered 1000 rd M-22's. at Cabalas and not back ordered
