Does anyone here have an Oregon non-resident carry license?

Oregon does not have reciprocity with any other state.

I live in CA and as I understand it, Oregon will sometimes grant licenses to residents of states that touch OR (e.g., Cali, Idaho, Nevada, and Washington).

Oregon non-residents must apply to a county in Oregon for the license. The trick is to find a county that has a sheriff willing to approve yours. I live just across the river from Portland, but I wouldn't bother with Multnomah county. I got mine from Grant county in Eastern Oregon. I have also heard the sheriff of Columbia County is amenable to non-residents. Good luck.

What OldW said. However, him being from WA, I assume he had a license from there, since WA was shall-issue long before we were. Do you have a CA license? I hear those are hard to get. If you do, explore the rural border counties, the further east the better. They like sticking it to Salem bureaucrats. But if you don't have a license from your home state, I'm not sure it'll work.
