Shoot Straight in Orlando used to be a good place. Haven't been in years. Still deal with them but have items shipped to my LGS.

This Saturday (1/14) is the Shoot Straight show. $13 to get in but if'n you don't fly out until evening it's a good way to pass the time. I'll be there 10-noon wearing my "lucky orange gunshow sneakers." It's more like a flea market with guns now but never know what you find and didn't know you needed. Enjoy this spectacular weather. Joe

Thanks for the heads up!
Fortunately, for my wife, we leave the 13th. But, luckily for me, we have plenty of time to hit every outlet shopping center in the surrounding area 😂

Joe, are you going to do the Lakeland show in two weeks? I’ve missed the last few, so I’m planning on making this one.

It might be worth while to visit BassPro on the I drive area, Bob. It's quite large with lots to see. All the outlet malls are within a mile radius of it. Joe

Did that today! They aren’t selling used guns just yet. Bought 2 semi autos this past year, a plastic fantastic Sig and a good ole 1911. Gots to get back to 5 screw wheel guns, the withdrawal shakes are unbearable.

Like AJ posted above, best chance to see 5 screw SW's would be Lakeland in 2 weeks. Also just about every type Luger that was ever made. Prices knock the wind out of the lungs, but fortunately that's temporary. Joe

Hi all,
In Orlando looking for a nice gun shop with a good amount of old school S&W’s.

Any thoughts?

Thank you,
Bob

I don’t have any recent experience with this particular shop, but one I used to frequent when I grew up in the Orlando area, is A&N Sports up at the North end of Sanford a few blocks from Lake Monroe. The proprietors name is Bert Nelson and my dad knew him in the late 70’s~early ‘80’s. I bought my first revolver from Bert back in ‘86 or ‘87, when he steered me to a Model 19 instead of the 1911 that I went in to look at, having recently gotten out of the Navy. It’s what I used in the Navy, and I just had to have one, but Bert’s wisdom won out and I’ve been a S&W fanboy ever since. I looked it up on google and it’s still there, but Bert may have passed on by now. Still worth a look.

Check out the Florida Gun Trader online, there’s often interesting guns popping up, especially in “the lakes’ area just a short drive to north of Orlando. Mind the scammers though, some more obvious than others.
