Overwatch Precision Trigger for M&P’s??

I’ve never been a trigger snob and until getting an M&P Performance Center with an absolutely terrible trigger, I never used an aftermarket trigger in a semi-auto pistol. Never needed one really. But I wanted the M&P C.O.R.E. Performance Center gun to be a good range target gun. So I had to replace the Trigger. I used an Apex 100-B54 Sear & Trigger kit. The total for the trigger, assembly blocks and shipping was $223.35.

The Apex was, by far, better than the factory trigger. But in my opinion not the magnificent day/night trigger I read about on the forums. I’m not saying its not an excellent trigger, but its not a “breaks like a 1911 trigger”. At least not the one I got.

So after buying my M&P 2.0 Compact 4” I kicked around the idea of adding a trigger. At the time Apex was about the only option for the M&P. Now I have stumbled onto Overwatch Precision Triggers. They cost more than an Apex. I have no idea how long they have been around, but it makes me wonder why they are priced higher than the Apex? Are they better or is it a marketing ploy?

Anyone have one?

I have one in my Glock 19 Gen 4 that I have had almost since I purchased the gun. They are a great, flat faced trigger that reduces pre and over travel and is very comfortable on the trigger finger. Do not know if they are better than any of the other after market flat faced triggers out there but I like mine just fine.

My 2.0 .40 was not near as good in the trigger department as the two previous 1.0's I had. So much for the 2.0's being better.
I put an Apex Duty carry in it, and while decent, it was not as great to me as others have made it out to be. Pre travel is a bit long. I can't remember if on this latest one I had used the stock trigger return spring or not, but pull is a bit heavy. Next time I have it apart I'll check to see if it has the Apex return spring or stock.

I can do O.K. with it, will hope it gets as bit better with use. Not sure I want to spend more to try the Overwatch. Not a fan of flat faced triggers either after trying one on an AR.

I also have the OverWatch precision tac trigger in my glock 19x and it definitely is much better than stock there's no pre travel the reset is shorter and the over travel is also shorter. Apex triggers are okay in my opinion they're cheaper but you get what you pay for I was never impressed with any of the Apex triggers in my m&P as well

I have their precision trigger for my glock 19x and it definitely makes a huge difference but the 2.0 hinge trigger stock is absolutely fine for self-defense I think if I put it in my 2.0 compact with a red dot it'll definitely make an improvement but it'll be two ppqish as far as getting unintended double taps

I have it in my 5"..... I also upgraded to the Competition sear they offer as with the carry sear its a little heavier than the Apex kit...even with the lightest sear spring.

This is a competition pistol so I wanted the lightest pull possible.

I have yet to measure it but pull is light crisp and reset is better as well.


I had a couple of 1.0 M&Ps with APEX kits in years past as I didn't like the M&P factory trigger but always went back to glock because of commonality with those around me.

I just ordered an Apex flatty kit for my 5" 2.0, but then I saw a video on this kit tonight on YouTube. Hopefully, there will be additional videos about the OP M&P trigger soon.

Kineticap1, I'd like to hear any additional details about the Overwatch Precision kit you can provide. Thanks for the pics.
