Paddle holster for 686?

I have been having a heck of a time finding a LINED paddle holster for my 686, 4". I wanted something that completely covers the trigger/guard, and wouldnt mind seeing it with a snap to help retain it in the holster.

I have seen lined paddle holsters, but all of the pictures I have found have only shown pics of pistols in them, and not revolvers... So I am not certain the trigger is covered on the revolver model.

Here's a suggestion

If you are talking about a true paddle holster, which can be put on or removed without taking off the belt, take a look at the Safariland Model 518 holster, which is lined, with a thumb snap. They also make the Model 5181, which is an open top with tension adjustment screw. Both of these come in right and left hand, and both are lined. Many people confuse a pancake-style holster, which uses loops, with a paddle-style. I'm sure Safariland makes them also, but I've never been a fan. I know that at one one time,these two were issued/authorized FBI holsters, at least for the semi-autos. Not a stockholder, just a satisfied user.

Thanks RWJ, that was actually one I had looked at, but wasnt sure how it protected the trigger on a revolver, since the model pictured was for a semi auto. Not cheap, but the spendiest holster I have seen!

I have a Safariland 568 paddle for my 4" 586. I works very well, is easy on and easy off, and is quite comfortable. the holster is a hybrid of kydex and leather with a suede lining. Retention can be set from loose very tight with the screws making a safety strap unnecessary. I have mine set so if I turn it upside down the gun stays in it until you gave it a light tap then the gun just falls out.

I just got the Safariland 568 a few weeks ago, and I love it. It secures my 686 well and rides close to the body. It is not a CCW holster, but is great for range or open carry.

Another choice would be to check our fellow members in the Vendors section. All of them will do a great job for you at a very reasonable price.
My favorite paddle holster is the Kramer MSP, but it is NOT cheap.

Growr, I am always up for shoppin "local", but like ya said, it generally isnt cheap... and right now, I have to be cheap. this is my first revolver, and it was quite an expense for me!

I appreciate all of the suggestions, and think I am going to end up going with that 568. I like the minimal look of it. Unfortunately, I cant find a pic of the 518 with a revolver in it. :/
