Does anyone know what kind of paint I need for the tip of my front sight? Use links if you can. I would really like to use the paint used for night sights. Or some predator blood might work.

A friend of mine bought the tru-glo tritium front sight, it is kinda cool it comes with the sight tool. The top half will swivel on top of the bottom half so that the tritium always faces the shooter but adjusts just like the original. Because he has my old Pan-A-V holographic sight co-witnessed with his rear matech and front A2 sight. I had him take a popsicle stick (tongue depressor) and lay it along side the sighted in sight and mark the level of the top of the sight so we could swap them out and keep it sighted in. It worked great and the glow in the dark front post is really easy to see after dark. It looks just like the color of "Zombie" blood. LOL I am not sure you can buy tritium paint but if you have to paint the whole post it will be a thick after dark where the one you can buy just has a narrow line on one face that always faces the operator.

Thats a cool idea you had CENTURION24. They had some high vis enamel paint for check pins at work, so I figured I'd give it a try. I just dipped my old sight to test it. I think I might have to spray it (maybe) It's not glow in the dark paint but I think it would work good in shadowey areas like the gun range I shoot at.

I do like that. It turned out real well Vic, way better than I thought it would when I thought about it. Congrats

I am seriously thinking about buying some, mostly for my handguns but it looks like good stuff and after seeing your pic and not some salesmans pic that was a turning point for me. Thanks Guys

I have painted the front post on my AR (S&W M&P) and my front sights on my hand guns as well and I use 'Hot Pink' paint that I pick up in the fishing section in sports stores. It is the same paint as you would use on a lead jig for fishing and is very durable. The Hot Pink is really closer to red than pink and my aging eyes can pick up the front sights much quicker.

Any of the wife or girlfriend's color selecton of nail paint works extreamly well.....white is popular......vbest regards Plum
