A couple of days ago I shot an old buddy's S&W model 19. The double-action trigger pull is smoooooth! He has had the gun for over 50 years. When he was a young man he shot a lot of magnum ammo through it and it loosened up. He sent it in to S&W to have it reconditioned and hasn't shot it very much since. I own and shoot a well-used, but not abused, S&W model 19-3. My buddy's model 19 has a beautiful blue finish, the stampings are still clean and sharp. The timing and lock-up are perfect. It is a great example of what the gunsmiths at S&W were capable of back in the day. They were true craftsmen and obviously took great pride in their work.
