My mistake
After looking under magnifying glass it seems the # is N918XXX
Can't hardly see the 9 with naked eye.
Working off IPad can't post pics

'72 - '74 doesn't work, as your second post suggests you know. The -3 came out somewhere around '82. By your s/n, book says '81 but the book is off a little sometimes.

Thank you Jack for the reply...
When the guy knocked off $100 from the price I knew I had to have it.
The only sign of firing is every other cylinder.
No box or anything is the only down side.
Daniel

Congratulations on your purchase! I really enjoy my 29-3. Got it off GB Nov. 2017. It had the wrong target stocks on it. ( I traded them to another forum member for the right ones) The date on mine is 1988. Since you forgot pictures I added some. Bob

some of the first 29-3 N prefix guns had leftover recessed cylinders from the 29-2. I've always been on the lookout for one of these

I do believe you made a great buy. I have a -2 and really enjoy it. Shoot mostly 44 specials of course.

I think you will like it a lot. Here's an M29-3 I picked up years ago.
The s/n ADP47xx corresponds to very late 1983. Indeed, inside the stocks it is stamped DEC 28 1983. Seems a little late for footballs but there it is.
